Festival Flamenco is proud to offer the Flamenco is “New Mexico True” Experience Package, specifically designed for culture-seekers new to flamenco. This package will run from Thursday, June 15th – Saturday, June 17th, coinciding with the closing weekend of Festival Flamenco. Travel enthusiasts will find adventure, culture, and excitement at every turn at Albuquerque’s world renowned Flamenco Festival. Whether you’re discovering New Mexico for the first time or you are a native of the Land of Enchantment, we welcome you into the vibrant world of flamenco!
This package is specifically designed in length and programming to provide participants with an immersive experience in flamenco culture and the Festival experience, while being flexible, affordable, and manageable for a quick getaway.

THURSDAY, JUNE 15
The Flamenco is “New Mexico True” Experience Package will open with a wine & tapas reception at our Tablao Flamenco Albuquerque. Following the reception, participants will attend a thrilling performance by Compañía Jesús Carmona at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. All package participants will have reserved seating, which will allow for the best viewing experience.
FRIDAY, JUNE 16
Participants will attend the first day of a six-hour immersive course with one-hour segments each of beginning-level flamenco dance, palmas & rhythm studies, and history, with a break for lunch on your own after a tour of Festival Flamenco classes at noon. Participants will then have the option to independently explore the best of what Albuquerque has to offer in dining and culture experiences for the evening.
SATURDAY, JUNE 17
On the closing day of the Festival, participants will attend the second day of immersion with one-hour segments each of beginning-level flamenco dance, singing, and history. In the afternoon, students will attend a Spanish wine and food tasting course, featuring delectable dishes and delightful pours in collaboration with MÁS Tapas y Vino.
In the evening, participants will attend the closing Festival Flamenco performance, Fiesta Flamenca, including a pre-performance lecture by Eva Encinias celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Festival Flamenco. The closing performance is held at the state-of-the-art, 691-seat Albuquerque Journal Theatre at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. The finale performance features solo performances by all of the featured guest artists on one stage. It is our Festival’s most spectacular event and is treasured by all of our participants, filling the theatre to capacity every year.
